Symmetrical lenses usually are accompanied by through-the-lens view finding. They take clear photos but are inevitably large and thick. Compact cameras, on the other hand, usually feature telephoto-type lenses which offer a low profile at the expense of picture=quality. Now, Ricoh has developed a new lens that offers both low profile and excellent picture quality.
