standards while proceeding with system development keyed to global

The products for the networking era must besystem products permitting
flexible expansion. At Ricoh, we interpret the term " in two ways.
First, Ricoh offers products and system that can be linked freely with the
world's other standardized products. In the networking era, it is important
that even customers who use another company's computers be able to communicate,
or achieve linkage. The ability to make use of the world's de facto standard
machines and software is also extremely important from the perspective of
customer benefits.
Second, in cases in which Ricoh's technology and products themselves become
the de facto standard, Ricoh makes an active effort to disclose the architecture
and interface. This makes it easy for other system integrators and solution
businesses besides Ricoh to offer their customers applications employing
Ricoh machines.Ricoh responds to the needs of all kinds of offices, both
large and small, in assembling its offering of expandablesystem products.
